SARD and our community partner Humanity and Inclusion Organization, had the honor of hosting a celebration in the community of Azaz in recognition of International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The event was a day filled with activities, music, singing, and fun.
Our goal was to raise awareness about the rights and abilities of individuals with disabilities, and to promote inclusion and accessibility in our community. We wanted to show that individuals with disabilities are an integral part of our society and that they have the right to participate in all aspects of life.
The day started with handicraft activities, where participants had the opportunity to express their creativity and develop new skills. We then moved on to a series of musical performances, including singing and instrumental pieces, which were enjoyed by all.
One of the highlights of the day was the chess competition. The competition was a true testament to the idea that everyone, regardless of ability, can participate and contribute to society.
The children's activities were also a hit, with the younger participants having the opportunity to play games, do arts and crafts, and interact with one another. It was wonderful to see the children, regardless of their abilities, playing and having fun together.
At SARD, we believe that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, and that includes individuals with disabilities. This event was an opportunity for us to show our commitment to this belief and to raise awareness about the importance of inclusion and accessibility in our community.
We would like to express our gratitude to everyone who made this event possible, including the participants, their families, and the community of Azaz.
