SARD’s Shelter team is partnering with vulnerable families living in collective shelters to ensure they live in safe conditions. Mohammad, his wife, five children, an elderly father, and a single sister live together in a converted poultry house after being displaced three times during the war. They live there with 10 other families. With cash grants and close supervision from SARD, Mohammed coordinated the rehabilitation project himself -toilets equipped, doors and windows installed, sinks and water tanks added, the walls and roofs insulated, and more. We partner with families so they have the resources and dignified choices to improve their lives.
