Our Humanitarian Work
Founded in 2012, SARD is a nongovernmental organization dedicated to building resilience and self-reliance in those affected by conflict and natural disasters while championing the localization of humanitarian assistance. We strive to provide critical resources and innovative opportunities to affected people and communities so they can reach a future in which they can thrive. We work in the sectors of Food Security, Non-Food Items, Shelter, WASH, Protection, and Early Recovery and Livelihood.

We have an Emergency Preparedness and Response Mechanism in place and guaranteed stock of emergency supplies in Türkiye and northwest Syria, which ensures that in the face of emergencies that we are able to facilitate rapid and effective responses. We understand the critical importance of being proactive and well-prepared in the face of unforeseen challenges. We provide multi-secotoral assistance and enhance income generating capacity through a protection lens, building the resilience of the most vulnerable households. This includes multipurpose cash assistance, shelter repairs and rehabilitation, protection services, and livelihood training and support.
